i kinda agree. although i didn't like his debut that much i've always thought his delivery intercede for its boring moments (whether awful beats or poor production)
ye, i think hes a pretty horrible rapper but his deliverance (quote on quote swag) and the kind of mood hes able to create with cleverly picking the right 'cloud' producers makes him better than a lot of skilled rappers already
which is imo a huuuge feat so i was genuinely surprised i didnt like dis album after 3 listens
LiveLoveA$AP, his mixtape, is forever going to be his best output quality wise
There's a lot of outstanding moments on the album, but overall it's hindered by the length. Album is incredibly cohesive, but also a bit redundant as a result of the length.
I agree with everything you said. Overall this is way better than his debut album though.

never expected to get songs like his mixtapes' peso, houstons old head or roll one up so im okay.
i prefer a rap album with a lot of sampling and old-school-ish feels which this album is the best at
and despite everything, this one is his best production wise

dat mixtape changed hiphop as we know right now and even if it had no impact, it still wouldve been on some high quality **** (the gritty production is wat makes him sound more genuine than other releases), but hmmm, ok then
btw i like old traditional hiphop stuff too, i just dont look for it when it comes to rocky

i just watched dis...
i really feel him on everything he said or when he didnt say anything at all (im studying psychology and ive been counseling people at internships) so while i dont **** with dis album at all, he has my respect even more now

rip yams once again
i wouldn't say it changed hip hop, and if thats the matter i think we should be giving credit to odd future (tyler) if anything; his impact is remarkable and asaps mixtape does sound like its an odd future release.
Just came in here to say L$D, Excuse Me, Everyday >>>>>>>>>>>>> Eagerly waiting for him to get big enough to sell out and go full on pop. He will ****ing slay, bookmark me.
Now let me escort myself out before the real A$AP fans drag me to the pits.
I don't know... this album like I feel like hes trying to hard to be seen as this "deep" rapper and the critical acclaim. Like I know he probably isn't but it just sounds like that and it doesnt really sound natural and good... I don't think he sounds good on the beats, I prefer his debut, even though it may not be deep its where he shines and where he sounds natural and good.
What a snoozefest. I only ended up liking 2 songs off the album and one wasn't even included on the album. I think his first 2 efforts were much better than this.
Album sucks. AT.LONG.LAST.A$$. Lyrics are wack, production is hit or miss, he says the same **** all album. And Lil Wayne slaughtered him on his own song. I rate this dumpster juice out of 10.
