Music News: J.Lo talks music; new album out later this year!

But the superstar singer/actress told MTV News on the set of her new film "The Back-Up Plan" (due in theaters in January) that she's excited to get back to work.

"I worked on music while I was pregnant and while I was at home, but now to really get into it and focus on it and to finish the project is exciting," Lopez said.

She is already working on her next album, which will be the first since 2007's Brave. Lopez said she's working on a few singles and trying to finish the album, so it could be out later this year. The album will have a very focused concept, but she wasn't willing to reveal exactly what that concept is just yet.

"You can't help but put not only your kids into it, but to put anything you are going through in your music," she said. "That's the only thing you can really sing or write is stuff that you know. The more music you make and the more that you get into it and the more you write, the more you realize that's all you can write."

She said that the leaked singles "One Love" and "What Is Love" do hint at the direction of the album.

"You can kind of get a gist of where I'm going with it, I think," she said. "But yeah, I love those songs, and I think they'll be great hits. I don't think they'll be the first singles. I just love making great pop/dance music with beautiful lyrics, and that's what I always kind of go for."

Sony BMG Philippines has the album listed for the 4th quater of '09 & supposedly the album is gonna be a double disc titled 'Back 2 Back'.

One disc will be her greatest hits & the other will be the new album.

My gurl is comin to SH!T on ya faves ... I'm so excited

& when has J.Lo ever tried to a pull an Amerie with her own music?

The only song of hers that I could hear Amerie singing is "Get Right" but thats only because it shares the same producer as "1 Thing" Rich Harrison.
"Get Right" was released before "1 Thing" anyway so if anything it would be the other way around.

it was completely all over Brave and the album where Get Right came from but whatever...

im lookign for some hot new materials from her, im looking for some orgy music, maybe a lil bit of Gaga-esque beats and RedOne too.......

Nothing on 'Brave' sounded Amerie- esque

& again "Get Right" was released first so if anything Amerie would have been the one trying to pull a J.Lo which I don't even think is the case anyway.

Its just a case of producers recycling thier sounds ... simple as that.

& Jennifer doesn't need to release GaGa type sh!t, she just needs to do her, ppl seem to forget she's had plenty of hits this decade.

maybe its just me tho...lol

but Amerie always comes on my mind whenever i play Brave (minus Brave and Miles in These Shoes) which is not very often........
