Actually it is red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet easy to remember if you just think remember ROY G BIV. These are the visible colors of the spectrum that make up white light.

(ROY G. BIV)
White is a base color. There is no color that you can mix to create it. It has no pigments. Titanium Dioxide, chalk or various silica reflect red, green and blue light and appear white to the human eye and are used in paints.
Additive color mixing involves multiple sources of light with different colors in each source.

Subtractive color mixing involves a single source of light with different colors absorbing various wavelengths of the color spectrum.
