Yeah I'm pretty sure what she doesn't know that she's getting at is that being less successful is more liberating because since no one cares about her anymore she isn't as stressed out and stuff. It doesn't really have anything to do with being in a group

Jessica gave an interview after the split and she said Nicole was fine to work with and was professional. In fact, she said recently on Twitter that she would definitely work with Nicole again, but they're just not friends.





Nicole was an employee under Robin Antin and Interscope just like the others. She was the face of PCD because that's what she was hired to be. The songs, costumes, tours, etc. were their decision. In fact, in Behind the Music, Robin said the first day after hiring Nicole in 2004 was a disaster because she locked herself in her room and cried because she didn't want to come out in the costume they were supposed to wear. Clearly she wasn't calling any shots.



They were all salaried workers. PCD was a dancing troupe before Interscope took the brand and turned it into a pop group. The others were already professional dancers and then Nicole and Melody were cast as vocalists.
