Stuff like this just pisses me off. It's pretty clearly a total abuse of power and a case of "Shoot first, save lives second." Probably because it's easier. The fact one of these officers was JUST in another almost identical scandal/conflict whatever is even more evidence that the issue is with the officers being sent out there (or police policy, but I really have a hard time buying that it's police policy to murder a suicidal guy who isn't threatening anyone? And no, saying "I don't want to drop the knife" while sitting on a bed making no attempts to harm another person is
not a damn threat)
It's also ridiculous that they send heavily armed policemen, who WILL only make things worse (they can say only a handgun wouldn't make a difference, but they're wrong. A calm officer with just a handgun and not a bunch of equipment WILL provoke less stress which means the person WILL be more relaxed and LESS suicidal) and that they do NOT send a professional therapist with them. You know, someone who SPECIALIZES in treating situations like these and helping people struggling with suicide that probably could talk the potential victim down. Honestly, they probably don't because it's more expensive and it's easier to just claim self defense and murder the person (plus, psych specialists for talking people down from suicides tend to be very compassionate individuals that care about the well being of people, so they'd probably debunk all the bull**** the two on-location cops are spewing in the first place.
Also, if the blood is completely contained on the mattress and the bullet was in the mattress, I don't believe for a second that the suicidal man was actually attempting to attack/kill them. And I don't buy that one keeps getting attacked by suicidal men who never threatened anyone else at any point in the process.
Hope they lose their jobs and get thrown in jail for years. They deserve nothing less. So pissed off
