"'81" and "Baby Birch" are my favorites from Disc 1. I'd say it's Disc 2 > Disc 3 > Disc 1.

Instrumentalists had it easy compared to us. I swear to God I wanted to punch some of them square in the face half the time. There was this one who always knew the answer and was so smug about it and then one day he dropped his trumpet and dented his valve, which the trumpet was lke $2k of course. Such a good day.
And then when you think your safe with the rest of the vocalists you always have the First Soprano *****s.
"Mr. Jones I'll sing the melody! Mr. Jones I'll take the high part!"

I will try to listen to it sometime over the weekend but there's just so much music out right now it's hard to keep up and listen to old(er) releases at the same time.

Nicki Minaj might do some dumb things (like promoting nazism/anti-semitism in a music video and receiving next to no backlash for it) but I've always respected the way she deals with her young fans. She constantly tells them to stay in school and get educated. It sounds like she's kept tabs on some people in the past too. Very commendable.

I'd probably say disc 3 > disc 1 > disc 2 but they're all really solid. The whole album is just amazing.

I know what you mean. Part of me wants to reconnect with old albums I've neglected and part of me wants to keep up with new releases.

I also respect her for being the first successful female rapper in years.

All three of her albums are perfect. The Milk-Eyed Mender is a tough one to digest because of her signing style (she reminds me of Exuma and Oidupaa Vladimir Oiun). On Ys you can hear her Van **** Parks/freak folk influences and Have One on Me is her embracing 70's folk (strong Joni Mitchell and Vashti Bunyan vibes).

I used to prefer Joanna, her old singing style, but I find myself going back to The Milk-Eyed Mender less and less as time goes by.

First Sopranos. Thankfully my best friend in those two years of university was one and she always sat next to me and helped me out and then we'd cattily talk about everyone else's inflated ego.
