My advice would be to stop beating a dead horse and start over. You have like 36 hours or so to write a song, you can definitely do it.

I've been there, although it was barely an alliance in my case.

It would be a travesty to let go of this song imo. If I've not improved on it tonight then I'll do this.

If you wait too long, you won't have enough time to work on a brand new song. If the current song isn't working out for you after 2 (?) days of working, structuring and developping, it might be time to move on
