R&B diva Toni Braxton has been hard at work on her sixth studio album, tentatively titled "Pulse", for the past year now, and the 41-year-old singer has now revealed that the album has been finished.
"I've just finished [the album] it's going good. Although they called and said they 'we have one more song song we just want you to do, just fly to Miami', but it's finished".
Braxton then revealed that she's written some of the songs on the album, but that finding the exact direction they wanted to go was "a little challenging".
"The record company said 'you need to do things a little more hip-hop' and I said 'no no no.' They wanted to make sure things were mainstream, to keep it current, but then they said 'no [Toni] can't do hip-hop', so that was challenging, just trying to find something radio friendly but that's [also] my style, but I think we found it"
"My style is romantic... I wanna be able to sing, but how do you sing in a world where nobody is singing?"
Braxtons new album is set to feature collaborations with Claude Kelly, Darkchild, and The Underdogs and a release date should be announced soon.
