Born in Columbia, Shakira is a truly global superstar. Since launching her music career at age 13, she's sold more than 60 million albums worldwide, making her Colombia's highest-selling artist of all time. In late 2014, Shakira announced a global partnership with Fisher-Price to develop a 12-part Web series and new line of toys. The singer-philanthropist's profits from the deal are earmarked for her Barefoot Foundation, which she founded at 18 to provide early education systems around the world. After two seasons on NBC hit "The Voice," Shakira won't return as a coach, but she's working on a new bilingual album including collaborations with rapper Iggy Azalea. In 2011 Shakira was appointed by President Obama to the President's Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for Hispanics, and she is currently a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
I know this is not BIG news (it was out already) but it is Forbes, Hello? Iggy is so lucky. That's all I want to say.
