Feel the love Fridays . About 8 months ago , Sofia , pictured here, met Alecia Moore, and sang for her. She then went on to tell her she was in a band and was part of Girls Rock SB and Alecia told her " next time you play with them - I'm going to come and see you." When Sofia told me that I felt both excited and protective because it's a big commitment to make to a 10 year old girl. So when Alecia showed up to our GRSB showcase I was so impressed. For #pink to send the message of " your voice matters, what you say matters ." Was life changing for all our girls that night. Yesterday she introduced #girlsrocksb at the #nokidhungry event in Santa Barbara and again I was soooo moved that she is out here and present in our community - showing her support . So today , we have immense gratitude for Alecia Moore. Here's to making a difference, encouraging girls , supporting kids, and just being a damn fine human being.
