"Not gay" Korean comedian caught molesting sleeping man
Quote:
A South Korean comedian turned director has confessed to molesting a sleeping man in a sauna but denies that he is gay.
Baek Jae Hyun, 45, performed oral sex on the man, only identified as A, in the sleeping room of a 24-hour sauna in Seoul. The comedian, or 'gagman' as they are known in Korea, was booked without detention at around 3am on 17 May.
'Baek Jae Hyun said that he is not gay and this was only a mistake he made while intoxicated,' police told reporters last week. 'The suspect molested the victim by touching and sucking his genitals multiple times and also touching and licking the victim's chest, making him feel sexually humiliated against his will.'
News of Baek's arrrest went viral in Korea and netizens speculated about his sexuality and brought up past gay rumors. 'I heard he got married and then divorced because he's gay. What a sad life... he used to be so popular,' wrote one.
Meanwhile, a past interview with Baek Jae Hyun resurfaced as the arrest reports went viral where the former comedian denied rumors that he was gay. Baek Jae Hyun said during the interview, "I am not gay, that's nonsense. This isn't worth even considering. It's shocking that rumors like that are going around."

I agree with the article being forced to be in the closet due to repression is always sad.
Mess does that count as rape tho??? It is right??
I thought SK was a developed, liberal country why hide as a celebrity? Though celebrities are in the closet in the West as well so all cultures are hesitant when it comes to coming out I guess

S. Korea's pretty awful when it comes to homosexuality
There's only like 1 openly 'officially' gay celebrity in Korea

It is a developed county and there are no anti-LGBT laws, but that doesn't mean gays are socially accepted.
