SHE'S BACK! Khia pulls a Sasha Fierce and announces new DOUBLE album... and it's R&B!
"My Neck My Back" rapper and VH1 'star' Khia is back, and she's just announced plans to release her fourth studio album "Motor Mouf/Khia Shamone" The album will be a 2 CD double release, with one disc a more traditional rap offering, and the second a mixture of new R&B songs and live tracks she's recorded on the road on her recent "Nasti Muzik" tour.
"2010 will be a big year for me" says Khia "I'm putting out a double album, so I'm putting out the "Motor Mouf" which will be like Thug Misses verses "Khia Shamone", with the "Khia Shamone" being my R&B style, just rythm and bass, it's still me but it'll be more R&B than the hip-hop. I kinda introduced that sound already on my "Nasty Muzik" tour which had elements of neo-soul".
"I sing before I rap and I just rap because I can but I'm always trying to mix harmonies and melodies into my hooks and my verses and bridges, and being a songwriter I like to build a song, I like to take experiences and turn it into a song, so I would say that I'm an artist and I love music before I just love the rap side of the industry".
"We tryna give em a little bit of everything. I'm ready to take it to the next level as far as music is concerned because R&B was my first love, it is what I do, but now I'm just kinda trying to do them both and do it all".
This bitch is like Michael Myers from Halloween, no matter how many times you kill her she's always back for the sequel. I never thought she'd make it to a sophomore album, let alone a fourth! I love it though, Khia is my girl and I love every hot mess trainwreck inch of her.
To be honest it's actually Khia's own fault that she's had so much trouble in the industry but that's a whole nother story, for now I'm just going to laugh my ass off at the fact that she referred to her new album as having elements of "neo-soul"! I'll believe it when I see it! Watch your back Beyonce because Khia is coming for your crown "I Am... Khia Shamone!"
