Rise up Asia Rise this is the beginning.

Greece is looking to Russia for the money right now. I think they are trying to scare the EU but I also think they are serious. Consider the implications of Greece in the hands of Moscow. Putin already made a deal with them to lower the rates on some existing loans in exchange to allow their navy in to some of their ports and Greece is a NATO member.

I don't trust their government one bit.

Greece was completely irresponsible! The example I always remember, they let hairdressers retire on a government pension at age 50... that pension was equal to 95% of their salary in their last working year. Ridiculous!

That government was spending money left and right without concern for the fact they didn't have the money in the first place. And then when they are facing a bailout they elect Syriza whose promise is that they are ANTI-AUSTERITY? That country does not deserve to be bailed out by Germany.

And this is why I don't care about the people of Greece. Austerity sucks let's not pretend it doesn't but that alternative was Syriza. Now they have what that voted for and can live with it.

On a good note the collapse of the Euro means a ton of tourists. :/

I mean, we elected them, yes, but you have no idea how rotten the political greek system is.
You guys are being too harsh and you have no idea. People are dying. People are poor. And their lives are more important than ****** governments, stupid "unions" who only care about making Germany etc richer and d*******s like y'all who have never and will never face poverty.

I'm not so sure about this "tons of tourism" if Greece exits the Euro. Most of Greece's tourism is from other EU citizens, and many will avoid Greece because of ensuing unrest as they're unable to stabilize their new/old currency. It'll free-fall and become worthless extremely quick as people run for the hills rather than purchase government bonds and stocks. That could lead to people becoming angry and rioting and/or protesting at the government buildings and around larger cities. That would negatively affect tourism.

Leaving would dent the eurozone (and to an extent the EU) without a doubt, but it would devastate Greece for years.

As you said you elected them. Time and time again. Are you saying that there are no honest people in Greece to run the country? This has been going on for decades and not something have happened over night. Your people were perfectly happy to take the handouts and ignored all the warning signs.

If it makes you feel any better the same thing is happening here in the USA. California is practically a failed state.

Stop making it Germany's fault. Our country did enough to help your country. Goosey is absolutely right. I do want our country to help Greece but not with billions and not when the situation isn't improving at all.

Many Germans are angry and I'm scared that this anger could turn into something bigger (right wing parties). Greece wants Russia and Russia wants to help Greece. Let them work together. I'm so here for Germany leaving the EU. It works for Switzerland, it should work for us too.

Just let them go.

I think despite the moans and groans the EU is too proud to let Greece go yet. It would make their pet project look like such a flop and the international media would be ruthless.
