It's definitely true that it's very segregated here. My school has very few minority kids while a school 10 minutes away is full of them. And everyone tries to act like they aren't racist because they live in a nice northern community but their actions, thoughts, opinions, etc. tell the truth

I've never heard of a long Island accent, but I'll look it up on YouTube.
Maybe you're right but I never heard it. "Wata" doesn't sound like something someone from Hicksville would say though. Also, I say "cawfey" myself

Fake or not there's still a lot of whites in this world who will have a meltdown if someone different just existed in their vicinity. I've never had the impression that LI was a place that had racism though. The times I went there I thought otherwise.
