@Bloomers Your critique; honestly, it's pretty thought-provoking at the end. I originally had made the title "To You..." because I know who I wrote the song about, but I didn't want to name it specifically after them, as I felt it alienated listeners (readers, in this case). I made the title "To You..." so "You" could be anyone who the listener (reader) feels they could personally apply the song to, but the song does open up thoughts about one's own mortality, and it's an angle I never once thought about looking at the song from. It could provide interesting thoughts about who someone would think would be by them in their final moments; who would care that much about them.
So yeah, thank you for opening up that side of the song for me!
In all shame now
Where ever you been laying
You can stay now
Gotta board the BBJ and pull the shades down
I'm on the plane now
And don't keep calling from your mama's house
Enjoy y'all
But I give these lyrics a 3 Just because I stan for MC doesn't mean I like all her conversational lyrics.
If you want to see some 10s that could work on Truth Records, check out The Roof, Breakdown, My All, etc., not Up Out My Face.

Breakdown is a good one. Me trying to go pop/R&B backfired. I should have just went all pop since that's my strength. I might have had more success with Matty's label, but I like R&B too. Ugh.
I still feel like I'm getting eliminated but I've enjoyed reading the reviews. Thanks to all the judges for providing the feedback and taking the time to write about it.
