The speech before CLEAN is nearly as good as the one before ALL TOO WELL, ATW speech relating songwriting makes me prefer it a little more.

I'm lucky enough to meet alot of you over the course of the day, and umm.... and alot of the time I get... it turns out alot of you are very creative people, umm... which makes me feel lucky to get to spend alot of time with you, like alot of you, I mean, you think about how much effort and time and creativity went into just making the signs that I can see from right here.. but you know what, one thing that I have noticed is that we have alot of writers umm.... alot of creative people, alot of musicians, alot of people who what to do something in the arts and umm.. there are alot of people asking me, aahh where do you start with writing a song, like how do you know what idea to write down or what feeling to try to put into a song and I guess, the best advice I have in that area would be.. for me, writing songs is like putting a message in a bottle and throwing it out into the ocean, and you can say... you can say whatever you want, the feelings you have that scare you the most, like being secretly in love with someone or missing someone you're not aloud to miss because their bad for you or just feelings of deep admiration that you're to scared to say in person, or deep resentment or bitterness, writing a song is like being aloud to say all those things that you're to scare to say in person or there not socially acceptable or cool to say in person umm... and umm... and most of all, you should write about the things that... that you can't forget otherwise, things that made such an impact on you that they are... a permanent chapter in the story that is your life umm... this is a song that I wrote about a person who used to be a main character but now they are just.. a chapter and umm... and i decided to write about it because.. I could just remember it all too well you know.."
