Sally Hessnice, who appeared on the show in 2013, is suing Cowell's Syco Television, Blue Orbit Productions and FremantleMedia North America for $2m over claims that her performance was 'altered', Deadline reports.

Hessnice alledges that the FOX show changed her performance "to create a false and negative portrayal".

"Defendants intentionally altered Plaintiffs vocal performance, audience reaction, and judge reaction in order to deceive the public," the jury trial complaint filed in L.A. Superior Court read.

She has no leg to stand on. I'm sure reality TV editing expectations are written into contestant clauses. Every reality show edits footage just to make for more exciting TV.

I went to a taping of the show and they literally film 90% of reactions before the audience even comes out. They told us "look bored," "look excited," "boo," "act like you hated it." Then we would all give fake standing ovations and they would use the crane to film the audience.

They film some real reactions from the floor but I would say almost all of the reactions are fake to begin with and then manipulated further in editing.

I went to a taping of America's Got Talent and we had to do the SAME thing!
