Taiwanese media reported that Jolin Tsai's song and music video, "We're All Different, Yet The Same", has been banned in Singapore.
According to Mingpao News, the Media Development Authority (MDA) has sent ban notices to television and radio stations in the country so as not to air the song or the music video.
It was reported that the song has been banned because of the lyrics that encourage the pursuit of equal rights of marriage for the LGBTI community, which conflicts with the laws in Singapore.
As for the recent ban, Jolin's manager stated that the singer is disappointed with the decision, as the song is her way of expressing support for the equal rights of marriage.
However, the singer will respect the differences of opinion.
Don't you have to be well known all over the world to be called the Queen of Pop? Even actually relevant people like Xtina, Brit and Rih were degraded with the title "Princess"
Edit: you could change the title to "Taiwanese Queen of Pop" as a compromise and to avoid confusion
___
It's so sad that at this time there are still people being censored for supporting something they believe in and which should be a basic right
Just because you don't know doesn't mean she is not Queen of Pop
& mess that this ban happened in my country!
No, that's EXACTLY why she cant be. You have to be relevant and internationally successful to even gain relevance better yet compete for Madonna's status.

The fact that Jolin Tsai is super popular in Eastern Asia and South East Asia
My god who cares about the Queen of Pop title? Breaking News, America isn't the only country with a music industry. Jolin is a taiwanese pop legend with many fans in China too. Asian's have their own music industries with their own artists and that should be respected.
Y'all should check out the pink dot. The gay supporters there are amazing and so creative tbh
