Russia ended up #5 both 2013/2014 (televoting) and #2 when Loreen won (actually with ONLY 12 points from #1 spot)

However the juries have not placed Russia in the top those years. But they will now. And I'm sure POLINA will rank higher than #5 in televoting, if not top 2, and based on the voting-order the juries loved Russia.

The difference now is that juries rank countries from 1-27 instead of just giving their top 10. That means that any and all juries that don't want Russia to win for political reasons (I checked last year's voting, and quite a few of their neighbors didn't rate Russia high in the jury vote) can effectively kill it by ranking it low.
