!! I joined in 2011 but only lurked until the spring/summer of 2012 and it was a lot of fun. Now it's the same old threads or "gay this, gay that" or people get so heated when you're not making a flamebait thread and honestly want to question why x popstar is doing well while y popstar isn't ya know?

So true. People were much kinder back then and nobody was as desperate for a hit thread or a sig-worthy post as most are now. It was also more about the music and having fun and less about race and shameless flamebait. The drags in NHB were very fun to read, too.
