Let me be clear with this. It can't be denied that WTNY shouldn't be listed as opening track for 1989.
It's not just me that agreed with this but critics as well. The title itself pretty basic and i'm not gonna lie that only some verses are well written but overall the song just a catastrophe. To be compared, State of Grace truly the best song she ever produced (even better than All Too Well) and it did great as opening track for Red. Opening track gives first impression to the listener and State of Grace managed to cover up the weakness and lack of cohesiveness in Red. Back to 1989, WTNY is little bit down and of course a downhill in term of quality compared to SOG. Honestly, i'm quite dissapointed with WTNY during my first listen to the whole 1989 but thank to Blank Space, Style and OOTW, finally i admit that the album so much better than Red as whole. Her best album indeed.
This is starting to get on my nerves.
