If that was the case they wouldn't have announced a release date (way after they had recorded it and obviously heard what she brought to the table) before canceling it after the public's reaction. Beyond the gay thing, him being underground and working with the biggest artist at the time made it seem like he was selling out after getting signed. Now that he is established, he can venture out and do more mainstream collabs.
