I heard the audio. Vocally Sweden was really good - no problems. Apparently there was some dodgy camera work, but that shouldn't matter.
Azerbaijan is just... a mess. I love the studio version but he slaughters it live - I honestly don't even have them down as a sure qualifier anymore.
omgT, but again, the jury has given great points to countries that were a mess vocally in the past years (and even in SF1: Albania!), so I won't worry too much. The GP will love "Unbroken".

SF1 was much, much weaker though. Plus Albania had a difficult song, whereas Unbroken is fairly simple to sing and she still slaughters it. Add to that the fact that she looks 12 years old in that stupid dress, and stiff movements on stage, and you've got yourself a non-qualifier.
I would be really shocked if it made it, but stranger things have happened, I guess... Like Hungary qualifying last night.

The performance will surely be loved though, because it's unique this year. She has that Emmelie de Forest image no one else has, so most teen girls will love her. Most of my friends stan for Iceland this year
I think SF2 has clear non-qualifiers: San Marino, Czech Republic, Portugal, Switzerland and Ireland. Malta and Israel might struggle too, while I'm afraid Montenegro will pass bc jury praise and bc Zeljko.

We'll see!
And for me the only sure non-qualfiiers are San Marino and Portugal. The others are in with a shot, even if it's minor.

They are my #4 and #3 respectively, praying for both of them to qualify.
I do think Azerbaijan is qualifying, but it could be a similar situation to last year when they were like 9th or something.
I'm telling y'all that Italy is not winning simply because we can't afford to host the contest next year. Just like they did anything not to make Jalisse win in 1996 we already spent a lot on the expo and there are many people not paying the taxes (I won't go into further detail about this subject), our economy needs to put itself together a bit first.
Just popping in to say that I can't wait for Saturday. For some reason I'm already really excited about this year's show, even though I've only heard the German contestant's song at this point (which I actually find to be pretty lacklustre). For me the fun and appeal of the ESC kinda lies in that anyway, being surprised by the other countries' acts and performances!
