I think at this point, Taylor just tells the guys at Big Machine how things are gonna be. Obviously they will give suggestions, Taylor has said in interviews that they opposed her musical direction + choice of album cover for this album. In the end she got her way, which illustrates where the power really lies.
The Style Music vid was done by Kyle Newman, who is Jaime King's husband, so that whole thing was probably done by Taylor rather than through her label.
I expect she has a single release strategy all planned out for the rest of the era. And I am sure Charlie Walk will be involved in this planning.
