Iggy facing backlash after being announced as LGBT headliner

Iggy Azalea is in hot water once again.
The Australian rapper was recently announced as the headliner for Pittsburgh Pridefest, but many in the Pittsburgh LGBTQ community aren't having it -- there are now protests and petitions against both the event and the star.
The Pittsburgh City Paper reports that the unhappiness actually began before Azalea was announced as a performer. Some locals are upset because they believe the Pridefest has become an event that isn't inclusive to everyone: "Since Delta took [Pride] over, it's been a white, cis, gay man's event," a critique reads.
For many, the inclusion of Azalea -- who allegedly has her own less-than-ideal history with racist and homophobic remarks -- is the final straw.
In a statement to the Pittsburgh City Paper following online petitions, the Delta Foundation said, in part, "If we believed that Iggy Azalea was racist or homophobic, we certainly would not have selected her to headline Pittsburgh Pride. We also don't believe she would have agreed to come if she was racist or homophobic. Iggy is a highly regarded artist and female entertainer and we have received a tremendous amount of positive messages from members of the community and our allies both locally and nationally that are excited that she will be performing at Pittsburgh Pride."
The people giving backlash are those obnoxiously liberal people who do absolutely too much. They weren't going to go anyway because major corporations have spots at Pride, lbr.
People will moan and petition against anything because they have nothing better to do with their life. How long will it take for people to realise they can keep trying but she ain't going nowhere.
Iggy is harmless, she makes fun catchy music people can bop to and doesn't take herself too seriously. She's also not trashy and dresses respectively in public.

Please. As if they actually care about those innocous 2 or 3 homophobic tweets she made. They probably just want a better artist to replace her and using this as an excuse
another day, another "backlash"....nothing new.
