I did like the opening monologue though. At least she tried to give the Jo character a sense of meaning. She shouldve changed back to Gaga for the rest of the show though.

I know you're just gonna roll your eyes and say I'm reaching, but it's literally a performance art piece where she takes on the attitude, mannerisms, and overall character of one of the most influential people in her life, Lüc Carl, as the song is literally about him. You have to remember that she was still very into him when Yoü and I was released. That's basically who Joe Calderone is - her representation of how she sees Lüc, perhaps created to help her deal with his ****** ass ways. I mean, I have no doubt in my mind that she was also hoping to cause a little stir with it, but you can't just boil it all down to shock factor.
