Lorde has reportedly parted ways with the manager who discovered her talent and just last week won an award for the international success they have achieved together.
The New Zealand Herald this morning reported that sources had confirmed Lorde and Scott Maclachlan, who first signed the young star in 2008, split some weeks ago.
While attempts to contact Maclachlan or his company Saiko Management have been unsuccessful, Lorde's record label Universal said "we don't have any comment on this matter".
Lorde recently teamed up again with Pure Heroine co-writer and producer Joel Little, to begin work on her second album, apparently around the same time she split with Maclachlan.
After winning the 2015 MMF Music Managers Award for international achievement last week, Maclachlan said of Lorde only that;
"You always try and recognise something special in artists; that's why you get involved. Thereafter, it's down to strategy, hard work and luck."
She also tweeted; "Now, i go out alone, if i go out at all".
Maybe he didn't like the direction she was taking with her music? It would make sense given her comment; maybe he said she'd flop and she told him she didn't care tbh

I could imagine tensions appeared about the Hunger Games soundtrack. She did that totaly alone, I mean I love it but wasn't a success.
Oh damn. Not surprising though, she's considered a B-lister/A-lister. Probably just wants a more experienced team that can keep her relevant for future eras.
