Deep down, I knew it. Like Shaun King on twitter said, it's better that stars of their caliber act in silence bc there's no pleasing people either way. They show up to rallies but all people do is stare at them and forget about what they're truly there for. A shame. I love her
Bey and Jay seem like two very socially aware and involved people. I really admire both of them for their activism, both silent and public. Such great people

The woman saying they may as well not say anything and not distract because they can't win anyway was spot on. Do nothing visibly people complain you don't care; attempt to use your celebrity to shine a light bitter cynics dismiss it as PR moves. Damned if you do or don't. I understand why they do it quietly. Even if you genuinely care about whatever you are doing to help, as a celebrity making it public screams publicity stunt/doing it to look good to most of the GP. Unfortunately they can never win as doing it quietly = not doing anything at all. It's nice when info like this comes out
