That article is probably bullsh*t, but I wouldn't be surprised if she scrapped a large portion of the album and decided to re-record it because she felt it wasn't good enough. I love how they failed to mention all the time she spent recording in LA, though. Plus, if the entire album was remastered earlier this year at Abbey Road Studios, that would imply it's been done for a while. I would love if the last part about it coming out this summer is true, though.

Plus none of it lines up with what we know about her being in LA, etc.

It's very possible. I mean, if she's waiting for things to quiet down in the music industry, I'd say now is the best time, really. The only competition she would have single-wise is Taylor Swift, and even that wouldn't be much because 1989 has been out for several months, so it'd be unlikely for a Taylor song to hit number-one instead of an Adele song right now being that most people already have the album.

The good thing on the delay of her 21 album was that she was a long time together with the songs and when it came out her live singing was so on point.

And don't forget after 21 was finished in Malibu, she wasn't happy either and she put on some strings in London.

She puts A LOT of pressure on herself as an artist as it is, because she never feels like anything's good enough; she's very concerned with the quality of the music. The problem is, though, that she doesn't realize that even if she didn't try, most of the stuff she does is far superior to her peers. Look at the two unreleased songs we got last year. "Never Gonna Leave You" and "You'll Never See Me Again" are almost as good as the stuff on 21, and they were better than 95% of the other music her peers released throughout the year.

If she did scrap some of the album, that's a great sign tbh. Most artists just release whatever and this shows she's serious about putting out another incredible album.

Rolling in the Deep and Someone Like You are so known that the new material has to be something that won't make people compare the quality of it to her previous work.

I agree. You know there will be people that will complain because it's not as good as 21, but honestly, I know it will be. She has never let us down, and I don't think she will now. Can she top 21? No, probably not, but who knows? Adele can really do anything, so I wouldn't be surprised. As long as it's as good as 21 for my standards, though, I'll be happy, because I know it will be. I just hope she releases something soon. I miss her.
