I would actually recommend you cut it down to Celine's thirty most notable English singles, like I did for Donna Summer (and I would suggest anyone who tackles Diana/Whitney/Barbra/Prince et al do). Singles of established artists that cover EVERYTHING they've ever done only work when they have some sort of ATRL fanbase, like Mariah or Kylie.

I know I didn't participate in the Cher singles rate, for instance, because there were just too damn many I didn't know!

I can help you pick that HOT 30 if you want.

It would be cute to do a rate featuring Cassie's debut, Tearria Mari's debut, one of Christina Milian's albums, and Amerie's second. Call it WHEN THE STRUGGLE'S NOT ENOUGH or something.

How about, for ONE TIME ONLY, we "rescind" the "albums are used once" rule?

Let's say, we broke down "pop girls" by eras of debuts.

Let's say 82-90. 96 - 02. 03-09.

And let's say there were anywhere from five to seven girls per year, all facing off against each other with one album.

An album that YOU ALL choose to be their best work.

Could we? Would we?

I'd love to host a This Was... rate too. 2011/2012 would be amazing. Maybe even 2013 but I think someone started one and left it.
