- Most clothing is hipped from warehouse. But before they sit in warehouses for months, they come from factories (sweatshops?) in 3rd world countries, mostly Asia, and sometimes the moths/flies/gnats come with them. If your clothes smell like vinegar when you first buy them, it's because vinegar keeps bugs away.
- Most stereotypes are true, both about whites & minorities. (white ladies are stuck up and entitled, blacks are shady, Hispanics are always looking for a deal or coupon, the Indians leave the fitting rooms smelling terrible, etc.)
- It's best to wash your new clothes before you wear them because all sorts of people try the clothes on and then return them. Or sometimes the associates just drop clothes on the floor.

On the subject of nursing, I have a few secrets:
- If you are rude to the nursing staff, your name WILL be spread around to the other nurses and we will be less reluctant to help you or tolerate your nonsense. We can flat out refuse to help you.
- Doctors have their specialist areas but you can request to be seen by a particular doctor if you want. Just tell a nurse and we will write your request at the top of the file.
- If a doctor is rude to you, just tell a nurse. We will confront the doctor for you and clock them for their behaviour.
- Don't show up early to an appointment expecting to be seen any earlier. I will explain the process to help you understand this:
1) You book in at the reception
2) Receptionists put your files out for the nurses to collect.
3) Nurses take the notes to doctors office/place where notes are placed
4) Nurses place the notes in order of APPOINTMENT TIME. Not booking in time. Patients who have an earlier appointment go on the top and later ones go underneath.
5) Doctors take the notes from the top of the pile, read through them and see that patient.
Therefore even if you show up half an hour early to your appointment and somebody else shows up a few minutes late but their appointment time is earlier than yours, they will be seen first. So don't put up an argument about it because the nurses will bitch about you behind your backs. However with that being said, some doctors will be angry at patients who are late to their appointments by over 5-10+ minutes so be prepared for rudeness if you are late.
Regarding the note pile, there are ways to get your notes to be put at the top so you will be seen earlier. If you have something urgent to do, tell a nurse and we will evaluate the situation. Be nice, genuine and explain it to us. Some of us will be sympathetic and put your notes at the top of the pile for you so the doctors will just take it and see you next.

Legally we're not allowed to, but if you insist.
It's way easier to just say something like you have received an emergency call from your cousins/siblings school to pick them up cause they're ill and nobody else is available to. Provided the clinic isn't too busy, we can just bump you up to the top or move you up a few notes so you're close to the top.

Also younger nurses and student nurses tend to be a lot more lenient (aka: more easier to manipulate) than older ones but that really all depends. The majority of older nurses have been taught through the old school methods of nursing which were a lot more strict regarding certain issues. So trying to get an earlier appointment time through them can be difficult.

Who doesn't like a young nurse that is easy to manipulate? I don't want anything to do with those old school nurses.

Try to clock a doc from my country and you might get hurt (as in brain damage).

I have no problems clocking them. A lot of them have ego issues and throw hissy fits about minor things. It really puts the other hospital staff and patients from being comfortable with them and so they have to be shut down on that type of behaviour.
There are a lot of great friendly ones but the stereotype exists for a reason.

If you're ugly = I need a price check! Make sure it is the exact same thing from color, shape, and size! Stat!
If you either smell or are dead ugly = okay.... *marks price as they say so they can leave reeaaall quick

I don't know what other people will say, but from my experience, most Asians (and I do mean Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indians) are cheap as HELL. Black people will try to get anything for free and give you the most hassle (especially if you're white, thank God I'm not tbh - they do WAY too much). White people are generally the most willing to let things slide but they always think they're smarter than you if you're not white (and they get HELLA pressed when they realize they're not).

In fast food service, WE HAVE TO USE gloves all the time.
BUT
in Fine dining/High-End restaurant, when we cook and prepare food, we just have to wash our hands thoroughly and we;re good, we just have to wear gloves when we have cuts/abrasions.
weird....
