what i like about florence's songs is that...unlike other artists, they don't seem to be about one specific thing. they seem like portraits of various events, ideas, influences all drawn together. do you know what i mean? like, take a mainstream pop artist (taylor or katy, for example). there songs are very direct and to the point. then take songs like WTWGM, NLMG, STW. flo's songs are a bit more complex, if you will. do you think the rest of the album is like that, or are the songs pretty direct and esay to understand.
example: you said Delilah is the song inspired by Jamaica and the phonecall that wouldn't come. but does it seem the song is a bit deeper or more complex than just that?
i hope this makes sense. i LOVE analyzing her music and lyrics. it's the best
