Production isn't the only thing that makes a song risky. A dance pop song with lyrics like "I'm in love with Judas" released during Easter is risky no matter how you spin it. Anaconda was literally the most vulgar hit in years. And 45S was risky too. I don't need to explain that one.

It was risky in the sense that so many of the first wave of people who buy Katys songs on launch had already bought it so there was a small chance it'd stumble when actually officially released. Other than that tiny chance, not even slightly.
