California is in deep trouble AND all residents (elites, middle class and the poor) should use water more responsibly. I would agree with you if it were just a couple houses but California is full of super-rich people and if they all use the water so irresponsibly, don't be sad when it's gone. And please! Those whole fines as a punishment system was clearly directed at the middle class and especially the poor. The elite don't respond to fines. The elite should have their water cut off if they violate the guidelines.
And we could talk about things the government is wasting money on all day long or how is California is getting poorer and poorer, but that's not what I created the thread for. Take your know-it-all attitude somewhere else.

Except it has everything to do with your post.
As you stated California is full of super-rich people it would be in your best interest to keep them happy and within California paying your super-high taxes. I won't be sad when it's gone I live in Michigan fresh water isn't exactly a problem here.
Should the super-rich conserve water sure I guess it would be the right thing to do considering most of them are Liberals and
claim to care about the environment. However, when you have to resort to these drastic measures it's just a tiny band-aide on a much larger systemic problem that isn't going to go away.
