I mean if they get their kii from laughing at people for having interests then sure, but it's not affecting them at all and no one on the outside world cares that they play "real" games. Anything to look cool and be accepted online

Why does it matter if older people want this game? Like, if they enjoy it then who are you to judge and why should they feel bad for enjoying it?

Excuse me, 24? I was born in '92. I never danced to Roar, and Pretty Girls is not aimed at 8-year-olds. You can enjoy this game, but it's no different from grown men watching My Little Pony. If you take issue with that statement you better think about it.

And besides, as I mentioned there are real concerns about the game being compromised for the sake of age-appropriateness. Witness the lack of voice chat. It's 2015.

It was a general point.

I don't see an issue with men watching kids shows if they want to, it's not my life and doesn't concern me. If they're going to be creepy about it and take it too far (which is the creepy rule 34 Brony stereotype you're trying to associate with us guys enjoying Nintendo games) I don't care either unless it's actually becoming a problem.

No voice chat sucks but I don't want to hear 5 year olds screaming at each other in the same way I don't want to hear 5 year olds who play CoD screaming. If I want to talk I'll use Skype.

Not really. It's getting a push cause it's a new IP and it's released in a matter of weeks. But I personally haven't seen hype for this game in the same vein that I've seen hype for other games like Zelda or Xenoblade

Don't get me wrong, I own every Nintendo console including the Wii U and regularly play Mario Kart, Zelda, Animal Crossing etc, but I just find it hilarious when Nintendo and their stans are suddenly shocked as to why their main demographic is basically children. At this point Nintendo are just doing it to themselves, if they want more sales they shouldn't be advertising it as if it was a Furby.

I don't see any problems with the game since I obviously won't be playing it meanwhile kids will probably go crazy for this. It's that damn song describing everything that's happening in the game that ruins everything.

I'm not shocked. This advert is aimed at kids like everything Nintendo does and the advert sucks. But that doesn't mean it can't be enjoyed by older people.

But that's the point, I agree, but when you advertise your product, your main demographic is going to be the group of people you advertised it towards. Most adults wont buy it because the advert implied that it was a children's game, regardless of whether they'd enjoy it or not. That's how marketing works, Nintendo need to start thinking about selling games to people who aren't loyal customers. The only adults buying this would be Nintendo fans or people that had been following the game long enough to know it's not Squid-Barbie and The Bubble Gun Party.
