Everything you said was a testament to her power and relevance. She still managed to be successful when she was LITERALLY walking around LA like a mad woman destroying herself and ruining her "comeback".
Mariah promoted the **** out of her material and NO ONE was checking for that mess, aside from Loverbeast, which peaked higher than GM anyway.
And just because Britney isn't the same popstar she was in 2003 does NOT mean that she hasn't personally made a comeback. She picked up the pieces of her broken life and managed to come out of it better than she was before. She doesn't feel the need to drive herself over the edge like she was doing in her peak.
Mariah and Britney are in the same has been boat, so let's not.
