Mind you, she did this ELEVEN MONTHS after being placed under that conservatorship y'all toss around. It took Mariah four years to make a comeback.

Britney 'came back' not even a decade into her career. It was cute at the time, but overall her career is still lackluster since she followed it up with more flops. The fact 2 albums equate to over 50% of her sales with 8 albums is embarrassing enough.

Nothing was a lie.

Brittany's album in 2001 was an underperformance to her two previous successes and almost all the singles flopped (or 'flopped due to the radio ban' excuse y'all somehow made up).

Then in 2003 she flopped even more, Beyonce birthed as a solo woman and it's been a wrap since. Never once since has Britney's releases next to Beyonce's releases at the same time outsold them.

I don't voluntarily drag Britney unless one of her stans has anything to say. That was my sis and I've been around for her peak.

And her songs weren't played on radio because she didn't go on tour with Clear Channel. I wouldn't call it a ban, but that was why they weren't playing her stuff on the airwaves.

Still The Emancipation of Mimi was miles higher in terms of everything compared to Circus. And after that, Britney could only manage one more album scanning 1M+ WW. Mimi had several.
