My next door neighbor had issues with his PS4 that he bought from some thief. However, the HDMI Port out looks to be broken. The little golden pins are pulled back and hard to put back into their places. He asked me to fix it since word on the street, I'm some computer tech. I took a look at it and came to the conclusion that he would need to replace the HDMI Port out with a new one, which costs about $23.00 on Ebay. He says that he will buy it and asked if I could put it together. Even though I told him yes, I still need a bit of assistance with it.

So, does anyone know how to take apart the PS4 and replace this? I need it in the simplest form. Thanks.

And that's exactly what I did, and everyone has their own way of doing it. Since I trust my fellow ATRLers over some Youtubers who have gotten bad reviews, I want to know if anyone actually fixed this situation successfully. Thank you for your response, though.

Also, this thread opens up some room for any additional questions I may have going through the process. I will follow some of the YouTube videos. Hopefully, I don't run into any problems!

That's why I don't trust it. The comments are always mixed, and I would hate to be responsible for a failure. But it can be done.

Does ANYONE HERE have expertise in this or tried one of these methods used in the video and worked successfully? I guess that's what I'm really asking.

Well, I don't know if that was stolen. I just know that the person is a thief, but that's just me being messy.

I'm scared to take my PS4 apart. I'd suggest just watching the YouTube walkthrough.
