But on Tuesday the 45-year-old actress dropped a bombshell to Variety when promoting her new movie Carol, in which she plays a bisexual woman.
When asked if this was her first turn as a lesbian, the Oscar winner smiled and said, 'On film — or in real life?' When pushed to confirm she's had relationships with women, the mother-of-four said, 'Yes. Many times.'
