People don't "choose" not to believe in anything as some kind of statement - people simply don't believe in something with absolutely no evidence. I would argue it's more psychologically healthy to assess the facts rather than mindlessly buy into the dogma and traditions of religion simply because of parental or communal influence

Cool? Edgy? Excuse me? You might want to do a simple Google search before making such basic statements.

Analysis of this research (and I'll find links) have determined that millennials are leaving organized religion in droves because of science and hypocrisy on the part of the church.

The Catholic Church has provided legal counsel to hundreds of pedophiles and science, many argue, debunks Genesis.

That's just for starters.

Why should I believe? Oh how hipster of me. I'm sorry but for many people out there (and I'm not just talking about the gays but yes of them too), the dominance of religion but especially the dominance of the two very well known religions was pure hell. I'm sorry that I'm not believing in christianity and that I try to keep the evil away from me.

And honestly there are so many different "religions" maybe it it's time for some christians (and the others) to educate themselves too? Buddhism is actually pretty great. You are not the only truth. Actually there are 5 of you plus all the other "truths".

I'm so tired of christians crying that nobody respects them. Excuse me? You haven't respected people for 2015 years.

Actually not true.

I don't have the energy to find these links, but Catholicism is on the rise in South America, Africa, and parts of Southeast Asia, Buddhism and Islam are rising again throughout the Middle East and Asia and EOC is slightly increasing again in Eastern Europe.

Since your comment is ignorant, i'll asume that you count Mexico as part of South America, and let me tell you that by first hand experience younger generations give cero ****s about religions here.

We just use the church to do big weddings or baptisms which are seen more as a part of our culture which in reality everyone is just looking to the after party and getting drunk as ****.

That's not what he's saying at all. Christianity has no basis for about 154389 other reasons but they are well documented elsewhere and I'd probably just get accused of "trying to be edgy
