Nicki is fine, her singles are selling well & she's selling out arenas.
I mean, folks were so sure that Nicki would be outselling J. Cole BECAUSE she had the "hit" singles and would be doing arena shows. It's May, and J. Cole is still outselling her with way less effort. I just thought it was funny.
It's weird cause On-Demand Streaming on an individual basis (comparing one albums sales to stream equivalent sales) is always WAY lower than sales. Yet On-Demand Streaming is about to outweigh pure album sales in overall equivalent albums.
Guess we'll see how totals rise by the end of this decade.
Streaming finally makes everything so current though. Once album sales and single sales are done there will be no more estimating WW sales. We'll always have a near perfect streaming equivalent # since it's all digital and kept track of worldwide and in each individual country.
And the whole market is gonna change. All the large countries (Brazil, China, etc) will overtake Germany, UK, etc once Streaming gets there.

What's funny is even if he is outselling her she's making 10x what he does.
Album sales aren't the whole picture, and certainly not as big a part as they used to be in the grand scheme of things.
