Them cheques aint a mistake for Mimi and Nicki though, they knew what they were doing when they hired both girls, both have a larger than life persona and that staged feud was the only thing interesting about that season anyway. I blame Mariah, honestly. I feel like she created tension from the get-go. Obviously, Nicki was really abrasive in reaction to it, but I ultimately think Mariah was never going to mesh well with any female guest-star who she viewed as a threat to her own attention.

Not dissing Mariah, because I don't dislike her, but that's how I view it.

No. The wrong thing they did was alternating X Factor and AI after every season instead of resting AI for a year and having X Factor to replace it to keep the series fatigue at a minimum. This is Fox's fault though.

Although Mariah has the resume and credentials to judge a show like American Idol she's still too legendary to do such a thing.

While the show was nowhere near its prime in 2013, many people want to believe that there should be credibility with the judges even if the show no longer produces stars anymore

Mariah SHOULD HAVE NEVER lowered herself to do such a show. It was beneath her and I agree with Wendy williams for once (it was like putting a permanent black mark on her legacy).

Mariah's song should be covered on those type of shows...she should never partake in stuff like this.

they were both in the wrong for sure. that said, Mariah is a legend and I honestly think that Queen latifah would have garnered more respect from Mariah and the GP.

Nicki did better at judging the few shows I sat through. I was writing my capstone, I couldn't bare it every week but credibility trumps that and Mariah had that. But IMO she's so far above that kind of show that she shouldn't have been on either.

While it's true that Mariah was promised to be the only female on the panel, one has to ask as to why it was so important for Mariah to be the only female? That's why people assumed she is threatened being around other females from the get go.

How can a rapper be a judge at a singing talent show?? and she doesn't have the experience Mimi has.

Pretty sad that Mariah couldn't stand to have another woman on the panel. I would say I'm happy she grew up, but I'm just not sure if that's the case.
