Discussion: Yours thoughts on Gaga during BTW era?

d; I completely went from liking to hating her. Part of it 'cause my cousin was a huge stan and it annoyed tf outta me. The day the BTW video dropped, the egg entrance at the GRAMMYs, and my whole family dragged her that whole VMA night with Jo. I also thought she was using the gays, her music was terrible, and she went crazy.

Now I love the era.

Best era musically, fashion-wise, and best videography. I can't really complain.

During the era I thought it was Not cohesive, badly managed and lacked the spark TF and TFM.

Now I count my blessings.

The era was amazing, but the public presentation was terrible in retrospect.

Oh I loved her, I just regret not stanning for her a little earlier. I didn't really come around until the VMAs and by then the era was almost over and then the whole hip injury happened and I didn't even get a chance to see her live

It makes me sad looking back on it, that era and album had a very strong massage that could've helped me at the time but better late than never I guess

I was so obsessed.

I think that was relatively soon after I temporarily held the O Music Awards biggest superfan slot?

Either way, I was a HARDCORE monster. Still can't get Gaga out of my system to this day. It was so good being a stan from summer 2010 until You and I, and it was pretty interesting for the rest of the era tbh.

The Monster Ball in 2011, so the beginning of the BTW era, was my first real concert; second best I've seen ever.

Loved the entire era but was kinda surprised Marry The Night was picked as a single but bopped anyway whenever it was on the radio.

I listen to that album the most out of anything she's released. The album tracks are underrated and deserve more attention.

Musically it sounded like she remixed a bunch of 80's hits. Visually was displeasing. She was riding off of Blackout's underground image and tried to make it successful. It worked, but felt gimmicky, forced and generic. She was really bringing it with performances and promo.

Visually it was amazing, I loved every photoshoot we got and every appearance because she just looked so bold and different than what every other pop girl was doing. After Judas it started to get messier and messier, was disappointed with TEOG video, the Y&I video felt like a "AM STILL CREATIVE LOOK AT THESE 20 DIFFERENT CONCEPTS IN A VIDEO", then the long ass MTN video, which I love tbh but still got me worried for the future.

Overall, and looking back, I love it. A very creative and powerful era.

Yeah, it was a blast being a Gaga stan during BTW. The constant meltdowns and consistent single releases, it was the most active I'd been in being a fan of something.
