Mariah only embarked on 1 global tour during her 25 years in the business.. when she sold those 8m copies in Europe in 1993-1994 with music box.. she could have toured Europe more extensively than just coming for 5 concerts, even when Daydream sold almost 4m copies.. or when #1's shifted 3m copies.
She still owns the record in Japan and asia as whole, as not only the top seller, male, female or band of non-asian origin.. and the fastest selling concert tour in japan, selling 150k tickets in a few minutes.
mariah is better at marketing herself tho.. her elizabeth arden perfumes won her a highly respected industry award, + generated $150m in revenue since 2007.
