For those who say Grade 1 is too young, they aren't discussing sex. It's identifying reproductive organs, and understanding biology. Why wouldn't you want your child to know the correct names for their genitals? Or know the signs off a sexual predator?

It's baffling that others don't see the value in this curriculum.

Are you insane? Toronto is one of the most LGBTQ friendly cities in the world. In fact, there are many women whom wear the hijab and support gay rights. I'm friends with many of them, and they are the ones who are trying to speak to their communities about the value of this new curriculum.

I don't see what the big deal is. When I was 6 they'd gather a class together, make us sit in a circle, and go through a book filled with penises and vaginas to see the different types and how they can look like. It completely destigmatises the idea of sex which it should.

I've grown up so normally too so I'm clearly a testament to how good it is teaching kids about sex ed
