For WFL to not make IFPI in 2012 it means that it sold less than 6.5M Worldwide from 1st of December 2011 till first of December 2012.
And when you add its sales from when it was released until 1st of September you will get 7.5-8M at MOST which means that even if it was released January, the song would still NOT be top 3 on IFPI.
Dark Horse was easily bigger than WFL WW same for Roar. And I am talking about outside the USA.
Now Umbrella is bigger than any katy song same for Love the way you lie. But WFL is not it, srry.

IFPI is not reliable whatsoever and in no universe is Dark Horse bigger than WFL. This is tea from Ukmix
USA - 5,100,000 (7x Platinum)
UK - 1,300,000 (2x Platinum)
South Korea - 900,000
Australia - 420,000 (6x Platinum)
Sweden - 240,000 (6x Platinum)
France - 210,000 (Platinum)
Germany - 150,000+ (it's certified Gold but it has sold way more than that)
Japan - 100,000 (Gold)
Italy - 90,000+ (3x Platinum)
Switzerland - 60,000+ (2x Platinum)
Denmark - 60,000+ (2x Platinum)
New Zealand - 45,000+ (3x Platinum)
Spain - 40,000+ (Platinum)
Belgium - 30,000+ (Platinum)
=8,745,000 and that's with outdated certifications and doesn't include Canada where it spent 11 weeks at #1 and has easily sold over 400k. There is no way it sold less than 9m and it is more than likely closer to 10m. With streaming included (like it is for Roar and DH) it is upwards of 11-12m.
