Conchita probably goes beyond what their homophobia could withstand. A lot of homophobes (including self-loathing gay people) tolerate gay people as long as they act "normal." No wonder Ricky still uses mostly female dancers and models in his videos. He has to pander to these people and he seems like the inoffensive, people-pleasing type.
