I seen some people here say that they are an only child and I would wanna know if you ever thought of it as a negative thing.
Reason why I am asking this is cause I only have 1 child and that's the way it is gonna be for me. Myself, I do have a brother so I know how it is to have a sibling but my daughter will never experience that.
Society is really pushy, depending where you live ofc but having a Polish background my family is constantly on my neck that I am damaging my child not having any brothers or sisters. Or co-workers asking frequently if there is gonna be number 2, which there won't.

So please share your experiences, maybe some would rather wanted to be only child even?

For me being an only child is amazing because i'm so antisocial and I enjoy my own company. When I was in foster care and I had three foster siblings I hated it

In my opinion if you're going to have children then at least have 2. I have 2 brothers and I remember my dad saying how my oldest brother played all alone when he was like 10 and it made him sad so then they had another and then me so yeah I think it's bad :/

Can't be worse than being a middle child.

It depends. Not everyone gets along with their siblings, I have 2 brothers and I sure as hell don't, in fact I don't even need/want them in my life anymore and I'm happier by myself without them so yeah it really just depends.

I'm an only child, and I have always loved it... I'm a loner and I need a lot of personal space - whether this is because it's my actual personality, or if it's a direct result of actually being an only child is up for debate, but I've always felt that having no siblings is perfect for me.

I'm not an only child but my siblings are way older than me, so I was alone most of the time and it slayed

I get the boring part, I guess, but I am not spoiling my child. I think that is a mis conception or well stereotype thought.

There were times I wanted a sibling but I was spoilt rotten, had so much freedom and didn't have anyone to embarrass me for things I did as a kid.

I only wanted one for video games and I had close friends whom I spent a lot of time with after school so I loved it.
