Lorde has revealed she's been listening to Robyn's 'Dancing On My Own' to get her creative juices flowing, branding the song "perfect". The 'Royals' singer updated fans on what she's been up to in a lengthy Tumblr post, adding that album number two is well underway.
"this song, to me, is perfect. it's happy and sad, fiery and independent but vulnerable and small, joyous even when a heart is breaking. every line is perfect," wrote Lorde. "it's just perfect. we put it on right there in the studio, and i was up out of my seat dancing with my eyes screwed shut, and my hands up around my ears, and we looked into each other's eyes and sang the words, i could feel something hot and teary in the back of my throat just from FEELING so much at once. and i think it was then when i realised i'm going to be in love with music for the rest of my life."
Lorde has re-joined forces with Joel Little on the follow-up to her 2013 debut Pure Heroine. Little recently claimed the singer is "experimenting with some new things" for her second record.
I cant wait for this album, if she gave us such a flawless album at age 16 or whatever then I know she will just continue to slay. Gonna bop to Dancing On My Own in anticipation for the Teen Queen's next release.
