Poll: Why did Infinity > Living for Love?

Mariah's new single, "Infinity" debuts at #82 on tomorrow's Billboard Hot 100. Madonna's "Living for Love" failed to make the Billboard Hot 100. They're both female legends, who've had basically no GP support, and have had rough eras.

Infinity:

Living for Love:
-- Actual Music Video
-- iTunes Banner
-- GRAMMYs performance.
-- Remix EP
-- Album release.
-- Radio deal.
-- Viral video.

When you also factor in that You're Mine (Eternal) her previous single had 1 day of promotion and also outcharted it, why is this because?

Actually MIAM is @ 300K WW. & we all know her delaying the album for a year is what entirely ruined the era. Had it been released when #Beautiful was a hit, instead of a year later, with no hits it would've done double that # at worst.

If Madonna released RH after pushbacks for a year she'd not be doing 700k, so.

Can you please stop making excuses? RH leaked 3/4 months earlier, which made way more damage, yet you don't see the madge stans running from the fact that it underperformed. Just accept and move on.

When Madonna was 25 years into her career (like Mariah no2) she was smashing with her single 4 Minutes (BB Top 3).

I wonder if Mariah's 2022 single will do better than Living For Love.

Anyone who postpones entire era for an entire year with no successful singles between will flop, no excuses.

You're also exaggerating. RH had few songs leak over time by time. Not all at once. And as soon as the first batch leaked, she put her album on pre-order so it's not like she had to completely wait until the album dropped to get sales like Mariah. She had her album on pre-order for like 4 months.
